Rules and Regulations for the Art Violin Competition

Preliminary Information: No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Open to legal residents of the United States of America. Contest begins March 5, 2007 and ends April 5, 2007.

1. To Enter: To enter, visit any of the participating businesses in downtown New Haven or the Shoreline between March 5, 2007 and April 5, 2007 and select your favorite Art Violin. Participating businesses are listed at www.newhavensymphony.org. Then, enter any participating business and complete the official registration form, which includes name, address, telephone number, email and your vote for your favorite Art Violin. You may enter once during Contest Period. Multiple entries received from any person thereafter will void all such additional entries. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. All entries must be received before 12 pm on April 5 to be eligible for the drawing.
2. Selection of Winner and eligibility: Winner will be selected in a random drawing by employees of Sponsors from all eligible entries on or about April 9, 2007 and will be notified by phone and/or mail at the address provided by the winner. By entering the contest, entrants agree to waive ay right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules, or the Contest itself, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final. Winner may be required to sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit and liability and publicity release within 14 days of notification. If any prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any requirements, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Employees of the NHSO, their respective parent, subsidiary, members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings and their spouses) are not eligible.
3. Prize: There will be one Prize awarded consisting of the following: two 07/08 Symphony Series Subscriptions. The total value of the prize is $592.00. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value at their sole discretion. All taxes and other expenses, costs, or fees associated with the associated with the acceptance and/or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize cannot be transferred by Winner or redeemed for cash and is valid only for services detailed above, with no substitution of prize by Winner. In the event this contest is terminated before the prize is awarded or if any prize is forfeited or unclaimed, Sponsors will randomly select from remaining eligible entries and alternate winner. If Winner’s Guest is a minor, Winner must be minor’s parent or legal guardian.

• Disclaimer: Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by his or her participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize and releases the NHSO, their respective officers, directors and employees from such liability, even if caused by their negligence. Sponsor is not responsible for any errors in any promotional or market materials, errors in these rules, for any human or electronic error, or for any entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, lost, late, damaged or entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, city, state, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity without any additional compensation.
• ADDITIONAL RULES: Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. This sweepstakes is sponsored the NHSO. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this promotion any person they believe had intentionally violated these rules. Sponsors reserve the right to alter/revise any and/or all elements, prize packages, dates, etc. of any said promotion, due to unforeseen circumstances, beyond corporate control, i.e., emergency programming interruptions, corporate merchandise partner unavailability’s, discontinued products, etc.
• WINNER AND ANNOUNCMENT: For the name of the winner, available after April 9, 2007, send a self-address stamped envelope to be received by April 30, 2007 to: New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Art Violin Contest, 70 Audubon Street 3 rd Floor, New Haven, CT 06510
