Award winning artist-illustrator, Karen Keane, is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State College and the Paier College of Art. After a successful career in Corporate Communications and a position as the Printing Supervisor for the State of Connecticut, Karen simplified her life and her style of drawing.

Karen's work has been shown in several galleries, including the Society of Illustrators exhibition. She was a finalist in the Connecticut State Quarter Competition.

Inspired by the drawings of Al Hirshfield, Aubrey Beardsley, and Japanese woodcuts, Karen's drawings are about simplicity and balance. Fine lines flow into fields of black.

Ms. Keane lives in Milford where she is renovating her 100-year-old seaside cottage and studio. She lives with her black cat, Buster, and dachshund, Bailey. She enjoys gardening. reading, beachcombing and anything chocolate.
