Caroline Hana Salant
North Haven, CT

Caroline Hana Salant is a resident of North Haven, CT, where she attends North Haven Middle School. She is 11 years old and is in the sixth grade.

Since Caroline was nine months old and a crayon was put into her hand, she has created some type of art every day of her life. She describes her artwork as 3-D semi-modern, semi-abstract. She is currently exploring photography.

Caroline is a member of her school’s art club, and is in the Creative Learning Program. She has played the flute in her school band for three years and will play with the Jazz Ensemble this year. Her continuing goal is to become a professional artist and/or flutist. This is her first juried competition and she looks forward to showing her decorated violin to the community.
